Rita Rufo Cardarelli is a doctor of medicine. She is a specialist in pediatrics, neonatology, and pediatric emergency medicine and a specialist in pediatric palliative care (UDELAR). She is a coordinator of perinatal palliative care (CHPR) and an International Master in Palliative Care (Dr. Marcos Gomez Sancho). She obtained her master’s in pediatric palliative care (UNIR), master’s in bioethics (ULIA), and diploma in bioethics (ULIA-UDD). She is a member of the bioethics commission of the Medical College of Uruguay. She was the former president and vice president of the Uruguayan Society of Medicine and Palliative Care (SUMCP).
